This 10,000 sq. ft. mixed-use building houses six townhouse units, ground-floor retail space and below-grade parking. The project balanced a complex program with tight site constraints, utilizing as much as possible of the existing, two-story structure on site while adding a new third story with roof decks. This strategy saved time and money, and accommodated the program within the required height limit. A series of lightwells at the center and periphery of the building allow light and air to flow into the interior spaces.
